My Name is Lucas Gibbons and I am a cinematographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I specialize in action sports and have years of experience filming in the difficult conditions.

What started as a passion for the outdoors and a childhood dream of making movies led me to a career behind the lens.​After self-producing and filming two award-winning snowboard films, I worked my way into the professional side of the industry. Since then, I’ve spent my winters working alongside brands, production companies, and professional snowboarders on commercial projects, films, and web series.​

During the summer, I trade snow for dirt, water, and rock, working on projects in the motorsports, fishing, climbing, and outdoor industries.​I specialize in operating cameras in challenging environments and remote locations. Whether I’m filming snowboarding deep in the mountains of Japan, chasing dirt bikes through the desert, or working in unpredictable conditions far from the comforts of a traditional set, I’m comfortable carrying gear, adapting quickly, and doing whatever it takes to get the shot.​

Years of traveling and working around the world have made me adaptable, self-reliant, and comfortable under pressure. I enjoy challenging productions, difficult locations, and the kind of shoots where experience in the outdoors matters just as much as experience behind the camera.
